Green

James F. Green, 65, of Chicora died Sunday at the Oakland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Pittsburgh.

Born May 30, 1942, in Butler, he was a son of the late James A. and Hazel Graham Green.

He was a retired self-employed general contractor.

Mr. Green was a veteran of the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 117 in Butler. He also was a member of the Chicora Moose Lodge and the East Butler Firemen's Club.

He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Burns Fallecker Green, who he married Aug. 7, 2004; five sons, James F. Green and his wife, Ann, of Lansing, Mich., Michael A. Green of Cranberry Township, John A. Green and his wife, Marla, of Lower Burrell, Eric S. Green of Pittsburgh and Joseph Green of Cabot; a daughter, Kelly A. Cowan and Emile Doublet of Cranberry Township; two stepsons, Joseph Fallecker III and his wife, Donna, of Chicora and Jeffrey Fallecker and his wife, Diane, of Butler; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Dennis (Lori) Karenbauer of Fenelton, Mrs. John (Diane) Hamilton of Illinois and Mrs. Mike (Lisa) Beale of Fenelton; six grandchildren, Amanda Cowan and John Jr., Emily, Mary, Jimmy and Paul Green; 17 step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

He also is survived by two brothers, Harold Green of Butler and John P. Green of Fenelton; five sisters, Mrs. Sam (Maryann) Fennell of Centreville, Va., Mrs. Dave (Jean) Geibel of North Tonawanda, N.Y., Mrs. J.R. (Peg) Green of Fenelton, Mrs. Barry (Jane) Schafer of Garrett, Pa., and Mrs. Dean (Kathleen) Taylor of Herndon, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Green, who died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville with the Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating.
