<B>Pittsburgh Glass Center</B> in the East End neighborhood of Friendship/Garfield, two blocks west of the Negley and Penn Avenue intersection, will host a free open house featuring heat defying acts of art in PGC's state-of-the-art glass studios from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Live glassblowing and flameworking demonstrations will be ongoing. A workshop for couples to make a glass flower is planned for Valentines Day, Feb. 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. Call ahead for a time slot. A blend of science and fun, the traveling exhibition based on the book of the same name by Dr. Wayne Lynch leads visitors on an investigation of how animals and humans use it to build homes, hide from enemies, attract mates, cool off, and other functions. "Dinosaurs in Their Time," an attendance record setting exhibit featuring newly posed skeletons, continues. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Nectar is $2 per cup. Aviary admission is $9 for adults; $8 for senior citizens older than 60; $7.50 for children age 2 to 12, and free for children younger than 2.
