Himes

Gerald B. Himes, 69, of Cabot died Sunday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center.

Born Oct. 9, 1938, in Cabot, he was the son of the late Rush and Mildred Sims Himes.

He was a mechanic at Don Martin Trucking for 21 years. He was a farm equipment enthusiast and enjoyed truck and tractor pulls.

Mr. Himes was a dedicated Christian husband, father and grandfather. One of his many joys was spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Rickey B. Himes of Cabot and Lorry Samuel (Dana) Himes of Saxonburg; two daughters, Mrs. Bud (Faith) Flick of Saxonburg and Mrs. Jim (Roxann) Stickney of Fenelton; a brother, Larry (Joann) Himes of Cabot; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are special friends to the family, Dave and Debbie Karastury.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruth E. Fish Himes, who died May 3, 2007; two infant daughters, Sheryl and Sheila; and two brothers, Gary and Ronald Himes.

<B>HIMES</B> — Friends of Gerald B. Himes, who died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ted Harris officiating.
