Monday — Police filed charges against Bryan Perri, 18, of Butler in connection with the Jan. 20 vandalism of a Center Avenue apartment.Perri is accused of spray painting a door and throwing a rock through a window. He is charged with criminal mischief.Monday — Police reported a 13-year-old boy faces charges in juvenile court for allegedly stealing an MP3 player, an iPod and $135 from two lockers at the Butler Junior High School.The theft occurred Jan. 11 in the boy's locker room at the school. The boy, who police did not identify, admitted to stealing the items. He is charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

Saturday — Three people were arrested for driving under the influence and 49 people were cited for underage drinking during roving DUI patrols in Butler County between Friday night and Saturday morning.Additionally, 13 traffic citations and 30 warnings were issued. In all, 50 vehicles were stopped during the weekend patrols.

2:58 p.m. Jan. 27 — Three suspected thieves are accused of taking three pairs of tennis shoes from the Factory Brand Shoes stores at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township.Charged with retail theft are Amanda Leigh Kamerer, 20, of Volant, Lawrence County, and a boy and girl, who police did not identify. The stolen property has a combined value of $165.

12:10 a.m. Friday — Kerry Paul Paulick, 42, of Lyndora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run following a minor crash on Penn Avenue. Police said Paulick was also cited for driving without insurance.9:08 p.m. Thursday — Christopher Chuba, 49, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his truck struck a mailbox and traveled into a yard and down an embankment along Evans City Road.Chuba, who allegedly left the scene but was later found at his home, also is charged with accidents involving damage to unattended property and careless driving.
