I am sorry folks , I tried; but I cannot hold my tongue after this last posting.Let me get this straight Doc,Now you also want folks to be able to just walk into a drug store and be able to purchase whatever they wish? I am going to quote you "My position is that prescriptions should not be required because I don't believe anyone (including a physician) should have the ability to restrict any adult's right to do what they like with their body." I can't believe what I am seeing and reading!!!!!!! Don't you realize Mr. High and Mighty that we (the general population) depend on our Doctors to know and understand what drugs we need to cure our ailments and what portions to take of a particular drug So that we don't end up killing ourselves? If you get your way with your warped thinking,there would be no more need for doctors we could all self medicate using the internet to find out what we THINK we need and in what quantity and then go buy it! Don't worry about any pre existing conditions you might have that might affect the medication you self prescribe!! Hey, if you get your way maybe all the unemployed drug dealers can open up a phamacy!! One stop shopping.Dope in a poke! 2 for 1 sales on joints and ludes! maybe even a drive thru for those folks on the go that need a fix quick for the drive home!! WOW, that paints a really nice mental picture doesn't it? That would really help society. Talk about improving the community? You obviously have some serious MENTAL issues Doctor, perhaps you are self medicating. Anyone who is unlucky enough to have you as a physician should certainly be informed on your sick thinking..Actually if I was dying and you were my only option as a Doctor , I think I would self medicate myself!! Neil, You think this man is Well informed, better educated than the rest of us? My question to you is why is he so damned stupid then?! I think that you might be dazzled by shiny beads and flattery and easily taken astray. His sheep skin means nothing because his mind is warped! The fact is COMMON Sense cannot be learned in College, You either have it or you don't. What the Good Doctor needs is a good dose of it! It is a shame there isn't a shot available. It is an equal shame that a man in such a position chooses to use it in a way that undermines what is right, true and correct, based on his own personal unethical views. I do Not believe there will ever be enough support for his way of thinking, frankly I don't believe that folks are that Nuts yet, But it is frightening to know that there are some people out there that think along similar lines. If we have learned nothing else from the Good Doctors posts, we have learned that Mental illness is not just limited to those who have no or little money or education. It crosses all lines of humanity. I am starting to feel a little sorry for the Doctor now as it has become very obvious that he does have a serious mental illness. Doctor do yourself a favor, Stop posting, go to BMH and check yourself in, get your head examined!! John
