Cypher

Janet D. Cypher, 75, of Butler died Tuesday at Sunnyview Home.

Born May 29, 1932, she was the daughter of Guy and Esther Stevenson Gully.

Mrs. Cypher retired from her job as a laboratory manager from the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2000.

She attended Ohio Weslyan College and graduated from Youngstown State University.

Mrs. Cypher was a longtime board member of the Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Addiction Center. She also was an avid reader, loved books, her friends and going to the beach.

She is survived by her husband, James D. Cypher, whom she married in 1957; a daughter, Mrs. James (Loren) Sims of Claysville; a son, Stephen Cypher of Cabot; two grandchildren, Ashley Victoria and J.D. Sims, both of Claysville; and her longtime companion, her dog, Pepper.

<B>CYPHER</B> — Friends of Janet D. Cypher, who died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>YOUNG FUNERAL HOME</B>, 137 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Funeral services and burial will be private.
