Jamie A. Green, 33, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, careless driving and driving on the wrong side of the road following a traffic stop at the corner of Chestnut and North streets. His brother, Jason Allan Green, 33, was cited for public drunkenness during the same stop. They were released into their father's custody.
5:56 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Brandon J. Brown, 20, of New Wilmington crashed and rolled onto its side on Route 488/East Portersville Road in Portersville. Brown was wearing a seat belt, and no injuries were reported. He was cited for driving on road laned for traffic.2:25 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Theresa Ann Evans, 53, of Butler crashed into a utility pole on Benbrook Road near Route 8 in Center Township. Evans suffered minor injuries and was wearing a seat belt. She was cited for driving on road laned for traffic.Thursday — A car driven by Justin A. Yakovac, 23, of Mars crashed and overturned on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Yakovac suffered minor injuries and was wearing a seat belt. He was cited for driving on road laned for traffic.
12:30 p.m. Friday — Someone broke the rear passenger window of a car and stole a purse from inside belonging to Stacey Anne Miller, 21, of Franklin in the lot of Elephant and Castle Pub and Restaurant on Grove City Road in Springfield Township between 2 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The total value of the purse, checks, camera and other items stolen is $200. The damage to the car is estimated at $800. Anyone with information should call police at 724-662-6162.11:55 a.m. Tuesday — A tractor-trailer driven by Daniel C. David, 47, of Hubbard, Ohio, crashed on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. David was wearing a seat belt, and no injuries were reported.
2:20 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Greg A. Conaway, 28, of Freeport crashed and rolled onto its passenger side on Nickleson Run Road near Hill Road in South Buffalo Township. Conaway was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.11:25 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Corey D. Smith, 18, of Ford City crashed on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township. Smith was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
4:28 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Brandi L. Crawford, 27, of New Castle and a car driven by Joshua P. Snyder, 17, of New Castle collided on Route 65 in Slippery Rock Township. Both drivers and Crawford's passenger, Thomas E. Crawford, 28, of New Castle, were wearing seat belts, and no injuries were reported.
