Syva Clark

Sylva E. Clark, 84, of Zelienople died Sunday at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelie-nople.

Born May 27, 1923, in Porter-sville, she was the daughter of Earl C. and Ruth Frew Stickel.

Mrs. Clark graduated from the D.T. Watson School for Girls in Leetsdale and then attended the New Castle Business College.

She worked in a clerical position for the 911th Military Airlift Group and also had worked for the Prior's and Garden Gate restaurants.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the Shenango Presbyterian Church in New Castle. She was a gifted poet and writer, and she enjoyed cross-stitch, reading and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Clark; a step- daughter, Cheryl Clark Fiore of New Hampshire; a stepson, Robert W. Clark III of Ohio; a brother, Joseph Stickel and his wife, Patricia, of Portersville; and a sister, Irene Stickel Keely of California. She also is survived by two stepgrandsons and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Dudley and Curtis Stickel; and two sisters, Helen Drake and June Guillard.

<B>CLARK</B>— Friends of Sylva E. Clark, who died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian Church of Portersville, 1297 Perry Highway, Portersville, with the Rev. Dana Opp officiating.
