Ralph Campbell Jr.
Ralph Campbell Jr., 78, of Butler died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born Oct. 20, 1929, in Hilliards, he was the son of Ralph Myers and Edna Mae Follsteadt Campbell.
He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean War. He had been a machinist for 37 years at Oberg Manufacturing in Freeport.
He attended Summit Presbyterian Church and was a member of the VFW in Cherry Valley. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by a daughter, Diana L. Campbell of Butler; a son, David R. Campbell of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Adria Jackson of Karns City; and three brothers, Walter P. Campbell of Hilliards, Raymond Campbell of Boyers and Robert Campbell of Karns City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Litzenberg Campbell, who died April 27, 2007. Two sisters and five brothers also preceded him in death.
<B>CAMPBELL</B>— Friends of Ralph Campbell Jr., who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Services will follow at 8 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jonathan Evans of Summit Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
