Stella E. Watterson, 91, of South Main Street died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 24, 1915, in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lewis Wissman and Caroline "Carrie" Steinheiser.

Mrs. Watterson was a homemaker and a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a son, Rodney K. Watterson and his wife, Susan, of Hampton, N.H.; four grandchildren, Jody, Natalie, Gregory and Tracey; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie L. Wissman of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Watterson, who died Nov. 4, 1984, and by a brother, Robert Wissman.
