Bertha M. "Sis" Magala, 83, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Butler, died Friday at home under the care of a hospice.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon McGoldrick (Daniel); granddaughters, Amy Chillura of Florida and Leanne McAllister of Connecticut; a grandson, Michael Peterson of Florida; and a great-grandson, Stephen Chillura of Florida. She also is survived by a brother, William Baney of Florida; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Len and Edda Magala of Florida; a sister-in-law, Mary Davidson of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen; a daughter, Linda Palay, and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Harvey.
