2:13 a.m. Thursday — Eugene Malloy, 22, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422.6:15 p.m. Tuesday — Edith Kasarda, 47, of Butler was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Police said Kasarda was arraigned on charges of retail theft and trespass, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.

1:54 p.m. Thursday — An unknown driver in a black sport utility vehicle struck a car on Route 108 in Worth Township and failed to stop after the crash.Police said the crash left the SUV, which was last seen headed east toward Slippery Rock, with minor front, right bumper damage. Ashley May, 20, of Wampum, Lawrence County was driving the car that was struck.8:07 a.m. Thursday — Acar driven by Kaz McDowell, 21, of Prospect struck a ditch and large rock before spinning around and hitting a tree along Upper Harmony Road in Connoquenessing Township. Police said McDowell was cited for driving too fast for conditions.9 p.m. Tuesday — Acar driven by Emily Bertoti, 17, of Cranberry Township struck a minivan parked along snow- and ice-covered Main Street in Connoquenessing. The crash pushed the minivan into a pickup parked on the same road. Police said Bertoti was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4:30 p.m. Tuesday — Avehicle driven by Bruce Zahniser, 23, of Jackson Center, Mercer County struck a cement barrier along Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.
