Sarah and Shane McAfee

Sarah Fitzpatrick and Shane McAfee, both of Chambersburg, were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Aug. 18 at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Waynesboro. The Rev. Malachi Van Tassell of St. Francis University officiated. A reception followed at the Liberty Mountain Resort in Carroll Valley.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Karen Fitzpatrick of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Jerry and Cathy McAfee of Mont Alto.

The maid of honor was Jess Clarke of Missoula, Mont. Bridesmaids included Becky Reed of Morgantown, W.Va.; Missi Hilliard and Breanna Salkeld, both of Butler; and Beth McAfee of Mont Alto. The flower girl was Allison Keeling of Mars.

Serving the bridegroom as best man was Ben McAfee of Mont Alto. Ushers included Evan Kennedy of Mayport, Ronald Salkeld of Pittsburgh, Tom Brence of Hollidaysburg and William Shaffer of Drexel Hill. The ring bearer was Jacob Nicholas of Wellington, Fla.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2006 graduate of St. Francis University. She is employed at the Target Distribution Center in Chambersburg.

The bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Waynesboro High School and in 2006 and 2007 from St. Francis University, earning bachelor's and master's degrees. He is employed by Lebanon Emergency Physicians in Lebanon.

Following a honeymoon trip to Williamsburg and Virginia Beach, Va., the couple is making their home in Chambersburg.
