The Pittsburgh District Impact Team will lead the 10 a.m. Sunday service at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, Butler Township.

Moments with Missions will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The board of Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.The Rev. Ken Palmer will begin a new class on Spiritual Gifts at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the sanctuary.Donations of breakfast cereals, oatmeal, breakfast bars and other items are being collected for the food cupboard during January.

Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Center Township, will present a seminar for fathers beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday. The seminar will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. for five consecutive Sundays. Admission is free.

Paper products will be collected Sundays during January at Community Life Church, McQuistion Elementary School, for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Cupboard.The next Wednesday Series, based on "Drawing Near" by John Bevere, will begin Wednesday at the YWCA. Each meeting will begin at 7:15 p.m.

The Rev. Dr. William A. Jamieson will lead the Seekers Class Sunday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St. He will present a series on The 11 Essentials of the Faith adopted by the Beaver-Butler Presbytery. The class meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Assembly Room. Jamieson is the retired pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Evans City.

The next healing service at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.The Family Sunday School youth vs. adult Bible trivia will be held from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Sunday in the Social Room.

The Faith Shapers of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will have Olympic Games from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Dinner will be provided.A Natural Church Development workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church. Council members and committee chairpeople are asked to attend and anyone interested in learning about effective church structure is welcome to attend. The Rev. Larry Isbel will assist the Rev. The Memorial Handbell Choir will perform during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The youth team will usher. A reception to welcome the Porter family back from the Ghanaian pastoral exchange will be held in the fellowship hall following worship.Adult Sunday school classes resume at 9:15 a.m. Sunday. Barb Bishop and the Rev. Clark Sawyer will lead a study on "homegrown" American religions in the adult lounge. A study on Bad Girls of the Bible will be held in the Deacons' room, led by Alisa Brummer. Teens will meet in the youth lounge to pack bag lunches for the community.Registration is now being accepted for Kids' Club, which begins Feb. 6. The activity is held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and is open to children age 3 through grade 4.The Hill Youth Chorale will depart Thursday for a trip to Orlando, Fla. They will present a concert in the Disney World Magic Kingdom, lead worship at Winter Park Presbyterian Church, and participate in a service project to benefit the area.

Installation and ordination of 2008 officers will continue at the 8:45 and 11 a.m. Sunday services at Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old West 422, Franklin Township.A new Marriage Couples Class will begin this week at 5 p.m. Sunday. A retreat planned will conclude the class in February.The session meeting scheduled for Jan. 16 has been moved to Jan. 23.

An Inspirational Hymn Sing will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the parlor at North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., Butler Township. Music will be provided by October Lowe and devotions by Ruth Warheit. Light refreshments will be served.Women's Word Share, a women's Bible study, will begin a new four-week marriage series at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.The Women of the Church of God are collecting gently used children's coats for all seasons, sizes infant through teen, until Jan. 23. Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will host a Stories and Songs concert at 7 p.m. Sunday.A fellowship dinner will be held after worship on Sunday. Those who are able should take a dish to share.Communion will be celebrated during worship this week.

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson St., will host its annual Service of Remembrance Jan. 20. Members who would like to have a rose placed in memory of a loved one who died in 2007 should contact the church office by Friday.

The choirs of St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, resume their practice schedules this week. The Groovin' For God Choir practices at 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays, followed by the Bell Choir at 6 p.m. and Adult Choir at 7 p.m.The St. John's Quilters will resume meetings at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.The Rev. Call's Bible study resumes at 10 a.m. Wednesday.The Singles Group will gather at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 26 for a Scattergories night.

Members of the nominating committee at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., will be available after coffee hour Jan. 20 to receive suggestions and written nominations for new vestry members.A kickoff meeting for the Steve Wingfield Summer Festival will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, North Main Street.Offering envelopes for 2008 are available in the back of the church for those who had them last year. Members of the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, 102 Shannon Road, Renfrew, will gather at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church to take down and store Christmas decorations.A service for renewal of baptismal vows will be held during the 9:45 a.m. Sunday service.

Communion will be shared at the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Road, Concord Township.Parish council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

The new Nursery is now open at Zion United Methodist Church, Bear Creek Road, Sarver, for children in kindergarten and younger. The nursery is located in room 9, in the lower level of the Education wing. An adult supervisor and youth helpers are available for child care.The new Family Room is also now open and available for nursing mothers, babies and toddlers. It is located in room 14, next to the library. Aspeaker in the room allows users to hear the service. Children should be accompanied by a parent.A St. Vincent de Paul clothing collection bin has been placed in the southwest corner of the parking lot.Treasurers are to turn in completed financial records for 2007 for the annual audit. Books are to be brought to the main office.Shepherds should check their mailboxes for December reports.
