Volunteers at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township, are collecting donations of gum, lotion, lip balm, batteries, games, nail files, instant soup and baby wipes in the lobby to send care packages to soldiers.

Regular worship and Sunday school times resume this week.

New times for worship and church school begin Sunday at Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury. Church school begins at 9:45 a.m., and worship at 11 a.m. Epiphany will be observed and the Communion will be served.The nominating committee will meet at noon Sunday.A car caravan to Oakmont Presbyterian Church to hear the Bucknell University Chapel Hand Bell Ringers will leave the church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The trip will include a visit to Hartwood Acres and a nearby restaurant.

The Rev. William Jamieson will discuss the Lord's Prayer with the Seekers Class at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Assembly Room at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.The Covenant Cupboard needs spaghetti and sauce during January. Donations are received in the Jefferson Street hallway. Monetary donations are also accepted.Offering envelopes for 2008 are available in the narthex.

The Women's Missionary Fellowship of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will meet Tuesday at the Baptist Youth Center. Speaking on the theme "Leaving a Godly Legacy," will be Judy Rasely at the 9 a.m. session and Joanne Dittmer at the 7 p.m. session. Joanne Hughes and Carol Stamm will serve as respective hostesses.

The next evening service at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will be at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Communion will be celebrated at the Sunday services at Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia. Elders and deacons will be installed at the services.

Angel Food orders will be taken from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St. Orders are due Saturday.The Rev. Tim and Kathy Bupp will host an open house at 6 p.m. Friday at their home.A property work day will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The Epiphany will be celebrated at the 10 a.m. Sunday service at Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia.A 13-week study on what the Bible says about "End Times" will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.A six-week study, "iMarriage," will begin at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. The study is for married couples or for couples planning a wedding. Child care is available.A planning retreat will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 12 in fellowship hall for all elders, deacons, staff and ministry leaders. A continental breakfast will be served and child care will be available. Those attending should contact the church office to register.
