Mike McConnell had 20 points and seven assists to lead the Karns City boys basketball team to a 63-57 victory over Venango Catholic Wednesday.

McConnell connected on 8-of-9 free throws in the fourth quarter while his brother, Matt, was 4-for-4 as the Gremlins outscored Venango Catholic 22-16 in the final frame to break a 41-all tie.

Cameron Turner added 19 points, Cory Terwilliger had 11 points, Dan Everetts had 11 rebounds and Matt McConnell had seven assists for Karns City (8-2, 7-1).
