Eldon L. Bowser, 71, of Parker died at 5 a.m. Friday at Sugar Creek Rest following an extended illness.

Born on Nov. 18, 1936, in Worthington, he was the son of Dennis and Virgie Bowser.

He was an Army veteran, having served from 1954 through 1958. He was honorably discharged with the rank of private first class.

He was a truck driver most of his adult life, and also worked in his later years as a custodian for Hunter Truck Sales in Eau Claire.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Kunselman Bowser; a stepdaughter, Becky Yough of Chicora; a stepson, Raymond Luchkiw of Wilmington, N.C.; several step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
