Wes and Harriett Kennedy

Wes and Harriett Kennedy of Evans City celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a vacation to Florida. Acelebration held in Florida was attended by family members from Pennsylvania, Alabama, Florida and Bolivia, South America.

Kennedy married the former Harriett Stewart on Dec. 7, 1957, in Harmony.

They have two children, Michael Kennedy of Harvest, Ala., and Randy Kennedy of Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

The also have four grandchildren.

Kennedy is retired from NexTier Bank and served as a missionary to Venezuela from 1970 to 1980.

His wife is a homemaker who also did mission work in Venezuela.

The couple belongs to Grace Community Church in Cranberry Township.
