Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will hold a bell service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Participants should take their own bells. The message "Settling Down" will come from Matthew 2:13-23. The Oasis Cafe will be open with regular breakfast items, along with a warm egg casserole, after worship. There is no Saturday service, early Sunday service or Sunday school this weekend.

Companions in Christ classes will resume Jan. 7 and 8.

The church office will be closed Dec. 24 through 27.

Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., is collecting breakfast bars and hot and cold cereals for January's food bank drive.A fellowship dinner with the mission council is set for Jan. 9. Nanci Hogan will speak.Adult Sunday school class will begin at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 6. Fred Kison will lead a study of the book "Does the Bible Really Say That?"

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson, will hold its annual Time, Talent and TLC gift exchange during the 11 a.m. service on Sunday. The Noisy Offering of loose change also will be received at that time. Envelopes for 2008 are arranged alphabetically in the narthex.

New Year's Eve services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main. The Trinity Brass Quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m., with an organ recital at 9 p.m.The church office will be closed Jan. 1.

The church office at Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will be closed through Jan. 1. There will be no R.O.C.K. on Wednesday, but sessions will resume Jan. 9.

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., announces a youth group meeting at 6 p.m. Monday. A sauerkraut and pork dinner followed by a service will begin at 8 p.m.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., will host a service of Holy Communion at 8:15 a.m. Sunday. The 10:30 a.m. service will be "Lessons and Carols." There will be no Christian formation classes.

There will be only one service Sunday at Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, Jefferson Township. The service will begin at 10 a.m. and the speaker will be Elder Phil Henkel. There will be no Sunday school or youth group.The church office will be closed Tuesday.

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will offer Holy Communion at services beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.The community food bank needs canned goods to replenish its cupboards.
