Scobbo 60th anniversary
Joseph and Bernice Scobbo of Crown will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Saturday at Del's Restaurant in Bloomfield.
The former Bernice Schimborski married Scobbo Dec. 30, 1947, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Mount Oliver.
They have three children, Joseph Scobbo Jr. of Palm Coast, Fla.; Judy DeLowry of Hilliards and Bernice Howell of Gibsonia. A daughter, Marie Steinsdoerfer, is deceased.
They also have six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Scobbo is a retired bricklayer.
Mrs. Scobbo is a retired crossing guard. She belongs to the ladies auxiliary of Farmington Township Fire Department.
The couple belongs to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Crown.
