1:30 a.m. Sunday — Police are seeking the unknown driver of an unidentified maroon car that struck a man walking on North Main Street and drove off after the accident.Derek Roskovski, 30, of Butler was crossing the road when the northbound car stopped before the driver pulled forward. Roskovski tried to get out of the way but the car ran over his right foot. Roskovski was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.Tuesday — Jason Thomas Hirsch, 24, of Butler was arrested for felony retail theft after he allegedly shoplifted a $15.99 compact disc at the Kmart store at Pullman Square. He was arraigned on the charge and placed in Butler County Prison on $2,500 bond.Police charged Hirsch with a felony because of his criminal record that includes a pair of convictions in 2004 for retail theft and theft by deception and convictions in 2003 and 2002 for conspiracy to commit theft from a vehicle and burglary, respectively.5:50 p.m. Dec. 16 — Cars driven by Richard Dufford, 22, of Butler and Lindsay Albert, 23, of Center Township collided at South Sixth Street and CDC Drive. Police said Dufford was cited for driving with a suspended license.
2:39 a.m. Sunday — Randy Shuler, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Herman Road near Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township.Sunday — Two bicycles were found off Chicora Road in Oakland Township. One of the bikes is a black, Schwinn Sting-Ray, and the other is a black, MGXmountain bike. The owner or owners can claim the bikes by calling police at 724-284-8100.Thursday — An unknown thief between Sept. 25 and Thursday stole a 42-inch Toshiba flat-panel HDTV from a summer residence at the Slippery Rock Campground in Worth Township. John Fraschetti of New Castle owns the television.
1:57 a.m. Saturday — Atractor truck driven by Tugomir Babic, 34, of Schaumburg, Ill., crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County.
3:40 a.m. Saturday — Kendra Coover, 22, of East Brady was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Kittanning Hollow Road in SugarcreekTownship.5:35 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Clarence Creel, 82, and Brian Booher, 37, both of Kittanning collided on Route 422 in Worthington.
7:38 p.m. Thursday — An unknown man stole nine purses from the Coach store at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township.State Police, New Castle3:17 p.m. Dec. 15 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Leo Ferguson Jr., 54, of Ashtubula, Ohio, sideswiped a pickup truck on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township. The collision forced the pickup, driven by Ronald Walczak, 47, of Prospect, into a guardrail. Police said Ferguson was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
