Marie A. Maloney
Marie A. Maloney, 85, of Butler died Monday at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Nov. 28, 1921, in East Butler, she was a daughter of Fred and Catherine Hornberger Carbin.
Marie was a homemaker and mother.
Until her marriage, she worked in the buffing department at Castle Rubber for 10 years.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, the Second Half Club at St Paul Parish and AARP.
Mrs. Maloney enjoyed cooking, traveling on bus trips and spending time with her family.
Her husband, Jeremiah G. Maloney, whom she married June 17, 1950, preceded her in death on April 2, 1974.
She is survived by three sons, William G. Maloney and David P. Maloney, both of Butler, and Donald J. Maloney of Meadville; five sisters, Catherine Bergbickler of Butler, Mae Fleming of West Sunbury, Bertha Green of Butler, Clara Razete of Fort Myers, Fla., and Helen Kriley of Herman; two brothers, Bernard Carbin of Butler and Victor Carbin of Saxonburg; two grandsons, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
<B>MALONEY</B> — Friends of Marie A. Maloney, who died Nov. 19, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home, </B>201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
