Tuesday — Police reported a Butler Township man faces a pair of traffic violations for a hit-and-run crash last week that injured a Summit Township woman.Geoffrey Tincha, 45, is accused of driving a 2000 Chrysler Concorde about 11:50 a.m. Dec. 10 that backed into a car at the gas pumps at the 7-Eleven store on Hansen Avenue. Sharon Snyder 46, was leaning against the car, pumping gas, when the crash jarred her shoulder, causing minor injuries.Snyder said the driver of the Concorde stopped and asked if Snyder was alright. She said "no," but the driver still drove away. Snyder was able to give officers the license plate number.Police later tracked down Tincha, who was interviewed Saturday. Tincha admitted while backing his car in the store parking lot "he must of hit something although he had no recollection of hitting anything,"according to a police report.He faces citations for accidents involving injury and careless driving.
Dec. 4 — Arthur Ditty Jr., 28, of Parker is accused of breaking into a Route 58 home in Emlenton and taking a 27-inch television. The TVwas later recovered in Slippery Rock. Ditty is charged with burglary.
