McLafferty, Polanec

A spring 2009 wedding is being planned by Laura Polanec of Pittsburgh and Jason McLafferty of State College.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gary and Frances Polanec of Hudson, N.H. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Robert and Kay McLafferty of Butler.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Alvirne High School and 2006 graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a degree in biology. She is currently attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Her fiancé graduated in 1997 from Butler High School and in 2001 from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, earning a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in material science at Penn State.
