Monday — Police filed drug-related and other charges against a 21-year-old Center Township man stemming from a Nov. 28 traffic stop on West Penn Street.Nathan Zmijowski, 21, did not have a driver's license and allegedly gave police a false name. Zmijowski, who was wanted on a warrant, was taken to the police station.Asearch found him carrying 12 empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, a crack pipe and syringe, according to a police report. Additionally, police said they found 12 full bags of suspected heroin hidden in the defendant's shoe.Zmijowski is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, false identification to law enforcement authorities and driving without a license.

8:40 p.m. Monday — ACallery man and woman are accused of shoplifting $116 in clothing from the JCPenney store in Clearview Mall in Center Township. Police said Stephanie Lee McCombs, 18, and William Alex Cinci III, 19, are charged with retail theft.Monday — About 150 pounds of scrap copper was reported stolen between 10 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Monday from the Stanzione scrap yard on Brewer Road in Clinton Township. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.4:15 p.m. Sunday — Vans driven by Melvin Frederick, 61, of Grove City and Tammy Burgard, 39, of Butler collided at Route 8 and Ralston Road in Slippery Rock Township. Frederick suffered minor injuries.

2:25 a.m. Sunday — Travis Lee Sandidge, 25, of Templeton was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 268 in East Franklin Township.1:20 p.m. Wednesday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Barbara Holben, 43, of Cabot crashed into a guardrail on Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County.
