The Eagle sports department, in cooperation with area soccer coaches, has selected the 13th Butler Eagle Soccer All-Stars.

The selections were based on these criteria: offensive production, defensive effort and overall importance and value to the team. Though in some instances it was a black-and-white decision, many borderline selections were decided by coaches recommendations.

• <b>School: </b>Karns City• <b>Class: </b>Senior• <b>Position: </b>Center-Midfielder• <b>Statistics: </b>Tallied 17 goals and a team-high 18 assists for the Gremlins.• <b>Coach’s Comments: </b>“Julieanne was one of our skilled players. Her decision-making abilities helped get the team where it needed to be. Her playmaking was her key attribute.” — Karns City coach Lisa Castiglione<BR><BR><BR><BR>

• <b>School: </b>Knoch• <b>Class: </b>Senior• <b>Position: </b>Forward• <b>Statistics: </b>The four-time Elite 11 selection had 33 goals and 11 assists and finished with a school-record 109 career goals. Was named to all-WPIAL Class AAA team.• <b>Coach’s Comments: </b>“Amanda’s one of the leaders and had a way of bringing up the play of the entire team.” — Knoch coach Amy Travis<BR><BR><BR><BR>

• <b>School: </b>Karns City• <b>Class: </b>Senior• <b>Position: </b>Forward• <b>Statistics: </b>Her 20 goals and 17 assists were second-best in both categories for the Gremlins. Was an Elite 11 pick last year.• <b>Coach’s Comments: </b>“Michelle’s a hard-nosed player. Her aggressiveness pumped up the team.
