2:23 a.m. Saturday — Nicole Owens Tarr, 37, of Butler was arrested for simple assault after she allegedly hit Jerome A. Burke Jr. in the head with an ashtray at their West Birch Avenue apartment.9:44 a.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Theresa L. Meier, 47, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Donna M. Churilla, 43, of Butler collided at the intersection of Hansen Avenue and Pillow Street. Meier suffered minor injuries and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Both women were wearing seat belts.

4:05 a.m. Friday — A Jeep driven by Nicholas R. Goodgasell, Jr., 26, of Ford City crashed and rolled over on Route 422 near the Route 68 interchange. Goodgasell suffered minor cuts to his head and hands.

2:40 p.m. Friday — Alisha Marie Hovis, 25, of Butler was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two summary traffic violations following a traffic stop where she was arrested on a separate warrant.5:40 a.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by Richelle Cricks of Butler, Owen Desch, Jr. of Cabot, Roger Ray of Butler and Jill Martin of Butler crashed on Route 68 on the bridge near Buhl Hill Road in Connoquenessing Township. All four drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured.6:30 p.m. Thursday — Someone pried open a wooden locker and kicked in the office door, stealing three 5-gallon gas cans from Majestic Lawn Care on Pittsburgh Road in Penn Township between 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Any one with information should call police at 724-284-8100.2 p.m. Thursday — Someone crashed a vehicle into a wooden garbage can storage unit belonging to Michael S. O'Malley on Thompsontown Road in Clay Township between midnight and 2 p.m. Thursday, then fled. Any one with information should call police at 724-284-8100.9 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Stephanie L. Barkey, 29, of Renfrew crashed and flipped onto its roof on Neupert Road near Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Barkey suffered minor injuries and was wearing a seat belt. She was charged with a summary traffic violation.7 a.m. Thursday — Someone stole two speakers from the trunk of a Ford Mustang belonging to Susan M. Heitzenrater of Fenelton at 2306 Old Route 422 in Clearfield Township between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. The speakers are valued at $200. Any one with information should call police at 724-284-8100.3:39 a.m. Thursday — An SUV driven by Jacqueline L. Smith, 38, of Worthington crashed on Route 422 near Route 68 in Summit Township. Smith was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.2 a.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Denise Duncan, 24, of Butler allegedly ran over a road sign and through a yard at the intersection of Herman and Moran roads in Summit Township. Duncan faces several traffic violation charges.Wednesday — The Butler County DUITask Force conducted roving DUIpatrols in Butler and Butler Township, resulting in 32 vehicles stopped, five DUI arrests, two underage drinking arrests, four traffic citations issued, two drug related arrests and 23 traffic warnings issued.

3 p.m. Wednesday — Someone stole two welding cables and aluminum stakes from property belonging to David R. McDowell on Sandy Lake Road in Grove City between 8 a.m. Oct. 23 and 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Saturday — A special DUI enforcement effort Friday night stopped 26 cars, and had five drivers arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence, 18 written warnings for equipment or moving violations, 14 traffic citations written and one underage drinking citation issued.

9 a.m. Thursday — Someone damaged windows on an excavator belonging to Ben-Hal Mining Inc. of Grove City on Dog Hollow Road between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday.
