10:35 a.m. Thursday — Cars driven by Bobbi George, 30, and Clinton Cousins, 20, both of Butler, collided at Zeigler Avenue and an alleyway. Cousins was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. George was cited for a stop sign violation.3:25 p.m. Wednesday — Acar driven by Dorothy McCullough, 79, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by Ronald Anthony, 60, of Summit Township collided at Center Avenue and Monroe Street. McCullough, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for a traffic signal violation.
3 a.m. Thursday — Apickup truck driven by Dustin Pflugh, 19, no address given, skidded while traveling over wet leaves, hit an embankment and rolled over on Hannahstown Road in Jefferson Township. Police said Pflugh was cited for a lane violation and not wearing a seat belt.1:50 a.m. Thursday — Mary Beth Hunt, 50, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck an embankment and rolled at Route 8 and McCandless Road in Center Township. Hunt was treated for moderate injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.6:09 p.m. Wednesday — Acar driven by Michelle Septak, 23, of Pittsburgh and a pickup truck driven by Ryan A. Williams, 29. of Slippery Rock collided on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Septak was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5:02 p.m. Wednesday — Acar driven by Daniel Camarco, 53, of Pittsburgh struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle on Route 68 in Forward Township. Camarco, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions. Jessica Suder, 19, of Cranberry Township was driving the SUV.7 p.m. Tuesday — Maria F. Nelson, 75, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI after her car struck another car on Holyoke Road near Willow Run Road in Center Township. Nelson and the other driver, Anthony Nicastro, 38, of Butler suffered minor injuries.5:19 a.m. Tuesday — Acar driven by Robert Devinney, 35, of Stoneboro, Mercer County, struck a deer carcass and crashed into an embankment, rolling onto its roof on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Devinney and Justin Markl, 34, of Sandy Lake, Mercer County, a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries.Tuesday — Hunting gear and other items were stolen between Nov. 16 and Tuesday in a burglary at a garage at Freeport and Highland roads in Summit Township.The stolen property, owned by Rodney Stuebgen of Butler, included aBear compound bow and case, Renegade flintlock muzzleloader, .22-caliber revolver, gun case, spotlight and six prescription painkillers.1:58 p.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by Karlee Kennedy, 20, of McKeesport, Allegheny County, and Ian Emmett, 24, of Slippery Rock collided on Keister Road in Slippery Rock Township. Kennedy was cited for illegally entering or crossing a road.7:50 a.m. Monday — Acar driven by Jeffrey Speakman, 48, of Saxonburg and an SUVdriven by Scott Thornton, 32, of Cabot collided on Saxonburg Boulevard near Cherry Valley Road in Clinton Township.1 a.m. Monday — An unknown driver of an unidentified red vehicle struck two mailboxes along Route 68 in Oakland Township, and did not stop.5:19 p.m. Nov. 16 — Adeer caused two accidents on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.The first accident occurred when a car driven by Dennis Weyand, 54, of Beaver, Beaver County, struck the deer. Another car, driven by James Wagner, 67, of Karns City, while attempting to avoid the same deer, struck the rear of Weyand's vehicle.Nov. 13 — Police charged Jared W. Mayhew, 27, of Renfrew with DUI stemming from a rollover crash about 4:25 a.m. Nov. 8 on Spithaler Road near Brownsdale Road in Forward Township. Police also cited Mayhew for driving too fast for conditions, careless driving and a lane violation.Nov. 5 — Police charged Rick Allen Kriess, 31, of Slippery Rock with DUI in connection with a crash about 8:05 a.m. Nov. 3 in which Kriess' car crashed through three yards, hitting several mailboxes and trees before rolling onto its roof along Gameland Road in Donegal Township.Additionally, police cited Kriess for an open container violation, a lane violation and not wearing a seat belt.
Thursday — Awhite, 1998 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen Wednesday or Thursday from the Purdum Street home of Maureen Weckerly in East Brady. Police said the car, valued at $1,500, was parked in the alley behind Weckerly's house when it was stolen.
5:15 p.m. Wednesday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Shawn Allen Kriebel, 19, of Sarver struck a car on Route 28 in Buffalo Township, Butler County.Police said Kriebel was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. A 22-year-old Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, man, whom police did not identify, was driving the car.8:25 p.m. Tuesday — Gary Lee Acre, 51, of Worthington was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Mushroom Farm Road and Route 422 in West Franklin Township.Tuesday — Burglars broke into a camp in West Franklin Township, and once inside used wooden chairs to build a fire in the fireplace. The burglary at the Baker Gas Drive camp occurred between Nov. 16 and Tuesday.Nothing was taken in the break-in, and it appeared, police said, that the unknown suspects "were drinking and just hanging out."
1:38 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Tammy Peters, 34, of Grove City and Donald Ealy, 56, of Mercer collided on Route 208 and Irishtown Road in Pine Township.Ealy and a passenger in his car, Ginger Ealy, 59, of Mercer were treated for minor injuries at the Grove City Medical Center. Peters complained of head and chest pain; it was not reported if she received medical treatment.10:43 a.m. Tuesday — Two young children were among four people injured when a car and sport utility vehicle collided at Routes 965 and 173 in Worth Township.Sara Blakley, 20, of Franklin, the driver of the car, and three passengers, Lance Harris, 30, of Franklin, a 3-year-old girl and a 4-month-old boy, were treated for minor injuries at the Grove City Medical Center. Timothy Phillips, 42, of Arbor Vitae, Wisc., was driving the SUV. Blakley was cited for failing to yield the right of way.State Police, New Castle12:37 a.m. Thursday — Deborah Sue Evans, 41, of Portersville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 65 at the Lawrence Village Plaza in Shenago Township.
