1:06 a.m. Sunday — Paul Lachoppa, 24, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Amber Crider, 20, during a domestic dispute at the couple's Linden Street home. Lachoppa was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bond.

4:30 p.m. Saturday — Christopher Lorenz, 38, of East Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting his 35-year-old wife on Grant Avenue Extension in Summit Township.Police said the woman, who they did not identify, was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for moderate head injuries; her condition was not known this morning. Lorenz is charged with simple assault.1:40 p.m. Saturday — An unknown driver in a red dump truck struck a minivan on St. Joe Road near Route 68 in Oakland Township, and did not stop following the crash. Denise Moesta, 29, of East Butler was driving the van.6:10 a.m. Saturday — Acar driven by Cynthia Hills, 46, of Butler struck a deer on Route 8 in Mercer Township.12:37 a.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Matthew McDougal, 17, of Slippery Rock rolled over after crashing into an embankment along Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township. McDougal said the crash occurred after he swerved his vehicle to avoid a deer on the road.
