Tom from North Carolina states that I do "not realize, or fail to accept the fact that people's "right to harm themselves" can have ancillary effects." I completely accept that people's actions can have ancillary effects and I believe that peoples' marijuana usage should be treated in the same way as they are wit alcohol, i.e. penalties for driving while intoxicated, furnishing it to minors, etc. People have the right to do what they wish to their own body and the government must have no role until their action is a demonstrable risk to others, e.g driving.
Thanks to Maureen from Pittsburgh for pointing out the interesting article from Scientific American on marijuana and its relationship to cancer.
