Rosalia Bauman

Rosalia "Rosie" Bauman, 87, of Buffalo Township passed away of natural causes Saturday at the Allegheny Valley Hospital.

A native of Sarver, she was well known and loved by the community, admired for her spirited smile and loving nature.

Rosie found true joy in the love of her husband, Harold, during their 63 years of marriage. Their marriage was blessed with five children and six grandchildren who she cared for with everlasting love.

Rosie remained active into her late 80s. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, boating and gardening. She traveled to India, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Hawaii, Bahamas and more.

A local history buff, Rosie was always on top of community news. She loved watching the Steelers and waving her Terrible Towel.

She spent many winters in Florida.

Rosie was a member and elder of the Freeport United Presbyterian Church, the Womens Missionary Society, the Monroe Womens Club and the Saxonburg Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Himanshu) Shah of North Hills, Jim (Cookie) Bauman of Atlanta, Ga., Betty (Chuck Baldwin) Bauman of Davie, Fla., and Carol (Brian) Arsenault of Virginia Beach, Va. Rose was grandmother to Justin, Briana and Kinnu Shah and Grant, Nicol, and Lindsey Arsenault. She is also survived by her brother, Charles (Phyllis) Clark of Port Orange, Fla.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bauman, a former World War II veteran; a daughter, June Bauman; as well as parents, Forest and Florence Clark of Sarver; four sisters, Lucetta Swank, Agnes Simpson, Florence Beer and Martha Spindler; and four brothers, Allen, David, James and Leslie Clark.

<B>BAUMAN </B>— Visitation for Rosalia "Rosie" Bauman, who died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the <B>Redmond Funeral Home</B>, 524 High St., Freeport, The funeral service will follow at noon Wednesday at the United Presbyterian Church of Freeport.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the United Presbyterian Church of Freeport, 411 High St., Freeport, PA 16229.To send online condolences, please visit www.redmondfuneralhomeinc.com.
