Mary H. Giesler
Mary H. Giesler, 89, formerly of Second Street, died Thursday at Shelborne Assisted Living in Butler.
Born May 28, 1918, in Cabot, she was a daughter of Clarence H. and Catherine McAnallen Cypher.
Mrs. Giesler was a retired beautician. During World War II., she owned and operated her own beauty shop in Saxonburg. Later, she was employed at Kenmore Beauty Salon on Main Street in Butler. She was also employed by Geibel Funeral Home for more than 25 years and by Martin's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Giesler was an avid golfer and former member of Armco Country Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Karen) Seezox, Mrs. Dale (Diane) Oluschak and Mrs. Robert (Sheila) Gealey, all of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Beryl Lucas of Cabot; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Orville H. "Boob" Giesler, whom she married Sept. 12, 1941, preceded her in death on March 12, 2002. Four brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
<B>GIESLER</B> — Friends of Mary H. Giesler, who died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
