Richard R. Redick

Richard R. Redick, 68, of Eau Claire, died at 11:44 p.m. Wednesday at Clepper Manor Care Center in Sharon following an extended illness.

Born in Waynesburg, Ohio on Sept. 10, 1939, he was the son of Clarence and Susan Pyle Redick.

He was a Protestant.

He was ill from birth, but confounded doctors by living a long life. Because of a handicap, he uniquely understood the difficulties many people faced and spent his life cheerfully helping others.

He was his family's best friend, a loving and happy brother, uncle and great uncle. He set an example for his family by helping others with a loving heart.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Montgomery of West Middlesex, Mrs. Ronald (Marlene) Kahrer of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Charlotte Walkden of Farrell; five brothers, Harold Redick of New Castle, Ronald and Billy Redick, both of Eau Claire, Donald Redick of Farrell, and Clarence Redick, Jr. of Sharon; nine nieces; and six nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

<B>REDICK</B> — Friends of Richard R. Redick, who died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, will be received from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Main Street, Eau Claire. Funeral services will follow visitation at 4 p.m. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Eau Claire Cemetery.Information also is available at www.buzardfuneralhomes.com.
