Monday — Christina Cloherty, 31, of Butler was charged with identity theft for allegedly opening a cable television account under the name of her 6-year-old daughter.Cloherty is accused of using the girl's Social Security number, in part, to open the Armstrong Utilities account in April. Apolice report says Cloherty does not have custody of the girl.The defendant's account on Oct. 19 was $772.15 in arrears. The account has since been paid in full.12:42 p.m. Saturday — Three young adults and three teens, all from Butler, were cited for alcohol-related and other offenses following a disturbance call on West Brady Street near Mercer Street.Charged with underage drinking in the case are Joshua Robinson, 18; two boys and a girl. Police did not identify the children.Additionally, Robinson is charged with minors prohibited from operating a vehicle with alcohol in their system, and the girl is charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities.Police also charged Brian Stivason, 21, with four counts of furnishing alcohol to minors, and Georgia Hartle, 18, with public drunkenness.

Monday — Joanne O'Donnell, 19, of Prospect reported she was assaulted between midnight and 12:30 a.m. along Barkley Road in Brady Township. She was treated for minor injuries and released from Butler Memorial Hospital.Monday — The entry way and screen doors of the home of Chris and Kimberly Kennedy at 1227 Eau Claire Road, Marion Township, was damaged between Saturday and Monday.10:35 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Michael Bartiste, 24, of Butler struck the rear of a freightliner truck driven by Michael Dykstra, 40, of Owosso, Mich., on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Bartiste was injured, but the extent was not known. He was cited for following too closely.1:50 a.m. Monday — Greg Boulanger, 49, of Butler was arrested for his fourth DUI after being stopped along Route 8 in Penn Township for a lane violation and an expired registration.6 p.m. Sunday — Joseph W. Wiles, 39, of Oneida Valley Road, Washington Township, was charged with harassment after he pushed Patty A. Sharrar, 66, of Clarion at his home. He was held in Butler County Prison for violating his probation.Sunday — Susan Pendergast, 46, of Brook Lane in Middlesex Township reported the theft of four Steelers tickets from her home.Saturday — Sandra Morris, 48, of West Main Street in Jefferson Township reported the theft of Avon products from her home.11 p.m. Friday — State police made three DUI arrests, and issued 10 traffic citations and 25 warnings during a sobriety checkpoint along Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township. The Butler County DUITask Force assisted in checking 280 vehicles.

8:45 a.m. Monday — AButler area woman suffered minor injuries in a crash on Route 68 near Bauer Road in Monroe Township.Courtney Meier, 18, was unable to stop her car before it struck the rear of a car, driven by Tiffany Holben, 20, of Cabot.Prior to the crash, Holben's car and another car, driven by Catherine Chuculate, 46, of Sligo had collided, and both vehicles were stopped in the eastbound lane.

Thursday — Adouble glass patio door, Homelite generator and aluminum ladder were taken between Nov. 4 and Thursday in a burglary at a new under construction on Brent Road in Liberty Township. The stolen property is valued at $1,750.Wednesday — Someone stole about 300 small American flags displayed on the veterans' graves at the Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Pine Township. The theft occurred between Nov. 6 and Wednesday.
