The Snyders in 1957

Charles and Jane Snyder of West Sunbury will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family dinner Saturday at Garden Gate Restaurant in Prospect.

The former Jane Kildoo married Snyder Nov. 9, 1957, at the manse of Muddy Creek United Presbyterian Church.

They have six children, Joan Murphy, Beverly Capello and Dennis Kildoo, all of Butler; Craig Snyder of Boyers; and Judy Grossman and Larry Snyder, both of Slippery Rock. Another son, Larry Kildoo, is deceased.

They also have 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.Snyder is retired from Firestone. He is a veteran of World War II.Mrs. Snyder is a homemaker.
