Ruth M. Shoaf
Ruth M. Shoaf, 84, of Buffalo Township died Tuesday.
Born Sept. 7, 1923, in Lower Burrell, she was the daughter of Frank and Ruth Leslie Reimer.
She was a dedicated member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Natrona Heights and formerly served as an AWANA volunteer for years. She also was active in the Buffalo Senior Citizens and other area organizations.
Mrs. Shoaf had a faithful card ministry and remembered just about anyone she knew or met with a birthday, anniversary, sympathy or get well card.
She spent the winter months in Katy, Texas, where she was active in the Christian Fellowship Class at the Kingsland Baptist Church and enjoyed the Wednesday game days.
She delighted in yard sales, playing Scrabble and cards, listening to hymns and her family and friends.
Surviving are three sons, Tom Shoaf of Chicora, John Shoaf of Dudley, Mass., and Mark Shoaf of Sarver; a daughter, Linda Ross of Katy; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two former daughters-in-law, a brother-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
On July 26, 1941, she married Charles T. Shoaf. He died Jan. 25, 1988. She also was preceded in death by four brothers.

Shoaf, who died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home</B>, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights. Funeral ceremonies will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church, Natrona Heights. Everyone is to meet at the church. The Rev. Larry Pawson will officiate.
