Joseph Codispot

Joseph Nicholas "Little Joe" Codispot, 72, of Hesperia, Calif., died Sept. 9 at his home.

Born in Butler, July 4, 1935, he was the son of Leo-nard and Dorothy DeRita Codispot Sr.

He was a retired cement finisher.

Mr. Codispot was a former member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church on Center Avenue.

He enjoyed playing the guitar and formerly had his own band, "Little Joe and the Imperials."

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Souzer Codispot; five sons, Robert Codispot Sr. and his wife, Julie and Joey Codispot and his wife, Kay, all of Butler, Lenny Codispot, of State College, David Codispot of Baltimore, Md., and Gene Codispot of Butler; his former wife, Connie Codispot of Butler; two brothers, Mike and Leonard Codispot, both of Butler; and a sister, Midge Freehling, of Saxonburg.

He also is survived by nine grandchildren, Robert Jr. and Shawn Codispot, Jesse Crothers, Athena Smith, Gino, Theresa and Jamie Malloy and Anthony Smith, all of Butler and Brittney Souzer, of California; 10 great-grandchildren, Cody and Isabelle Smith, Ava Malloy, Zander and Brandon Smith and Kassy, Alyssa, Austin, Nikole and Mikayla Crothers, all of Butler; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Smith; a grandson, Eddie Smith; three sisters, Mary Ann Kastelic, Virginia Smith and Dolly Angert; and a brother, Tony Codispot.

<B>CODISPOT</B> — There will be no visitation. Graveside services for Joseph Nicholas "Little Joe" Codispot, who died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Michael Cemetery, Butler.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, and information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
