William M. Harvey Sr.
William Martin "Bill" Harvey Sr., 68, of Harrisville, formerly of Pittsburgh, died at 7:35 a.m. Sunday at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Nov. 3, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Mildred Callen Harvey.
He was a graduate of North Catholic High School and served as a medic with the Air Force during the Cuban Crisis.
He was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church in Boyers.
Mr. Harvey had been a stationary engineer for the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine Sexton Harvey, who he married Feb. 14, 1956; four daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Mary Beth) Quinn of Ross Township, Mrs. Charles (Mary Ellen) Parrish of South Carolina, Mrs. Jon (Colleen) Kaschauer of South Park and Mrs. George (Mary Kay) Adams of Dormont; a son, William M. "Butch" Harvey Jr. of Indiana, Pa.; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers, John B. and Michael T. Harvey, both of Texas.
A grandson preceded him in death.
<B>HARVEY</B> — Friends of William Martin "Bill" Harvey, Sr., who died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Epiphany Catholic Church in Boyers with the Rev. Richard Thompson officiating. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
