Ryan Ferguson carried 18 times for 194 yards and two touchdowns Friday night as the Slippery Rock High football team defeated Warren 49-27.

The win improved the Rockets to 6-4 and enhanced their chances of being selected for the District 10 playoffs.

Jonathan Powell threw for 172 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown pass to Zack Ejzak, who caught six passes for 156 yards.

Slippery Rolled up 564 yards of offense, including 392 on the ground.

Warren quarterback Jeff Eaton threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns.

Saltsburg 18, Union 12 — The Golden Knights' (1-9) final two possessions ended with interceptions in this narrow road loss.The Golden Knights scored on the first play from scrimmage as Matt Gagliano threw a 67-yard touchdown pass to Zach Traister. Traister also scored on a 9-yard run.Trent Switzer had nine carries for 86 yards for Union. Ron Comer had two touchdowns rushing for Saltsburg.
