9 p.m. Tuesday — David Glenn Anderson, 65, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, 44-year-old Cherrie Greenspring, during a domestic dispute at his West New Castle Street home. Anderson was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.
2:27 a.m. Wednesday — Kenny Kuhns, 41, of Valencia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed while traveling over the Picklegate bridge toward Route 8.Police said Kuhns' car missed the exit ramp and hit a curb, causing the vehicle to go airborne and land on a traffic island, where it struck an electrical box for a traffic signal.Despite a broken mirror and flat tire, the car, police said, continued southbound on Route 8 before it was stopped.
6:13 p.m. Oct. 23 — James Patrick McKenna IV, 30, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County was charged with criminal mischief following an altercation in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven convenience store on Route 68.1:53 a.m. Oct. 13 — John M. Biskup, 36, of Fombell, Beaver County was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a high beam violation following a traffic stop on Route 19 near NorthStar Pontiac car dealership.
1:25 p.m. Monday — Police were called to the area of 100 Halstead Blvd. for a report of electrical wires down. Police reported borough electrical workers had been in the area repairing a utility pole and went to lunch.Police said the workers upon returning discovered a wire had broken away from the pole and fell across three parked vehicles causing minor paint damage.
10:20 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Lisa Pollitt, 19, of Turtle Creek, Allegheny County and a pickup truck driven by Thomas Tomaro, 72, of Pittsburgh collided at Route 108 and Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Pollitt was flown by medical helicopter with undisclosed injuries to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.7:35 a.m. Thursday — Cars driven by David Scarborough, 26, of Evans City and Bobbie Jo Phipps, 23, collided at Route 8007 and Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Phipps was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Police said Scarborough was cited for driving too fast for conditions.7:20 a.m. Thursday — Cars driven by David Jones Jr., 39, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County and Brent Piccola, 40, of Butler collided at Bonniebrook and Herman roads in Summit Township.
Tuesday — An unknown burglar between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. stole $565 from a dining room cabinet after breaking into the Cherry Run Street home of Amber Montgomery in Rimersburg.
8:20 p.m. Wednesday — Gary Koontz, 65, of Freeport was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car collided head-on with a van on Route 128 at the Route 28 off-ramp in South Buffalo Township. Police said Koontz suffered moderate injuries.
