teachers/problem child!

Tilly..that is nice of you to do all that for the kids who have less, and I never said you were talking about "all" the kids who get bad grades because they don't want to do the work. If you will look back at my post..I did say (some..not all)You made it look like you assumed a lot of the kids were just not caring what kind of grades they got. "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink"! I do have to agree with you though..I do believe it takes both the teachers and the parents, working together to help the child be the best student they can be. My point was that, teachers just assume that the kids are getting bad grades because they just don't care. I believe 100% that a lot of teachers, teach just for a paycheck. They care more about what they are bringing home, and going out and standing on the picket line..instead of being in the classroom teaching kids. Where are the kids? Sitting at home, not learning a darn thing. If there were teachers out that, that care half as much as you say you do, then that might be a different story. I can understand what you are saying, but I also disagree with it. I did not mean to go off like that, but something about the way you posted that, really got under my skin. I also believe that is a very hard job to be a teacher..I know some may not agree with me..but you are right, you have to deal with some terrible things. I guess what I really want to say is..if you ever run into a situation and you know the child is being abused, please turn the parents in. Do whatever you can to prevent that abuse, so that the child can have a better life, or a better education. I don't know if you do that, but it could save a child's life.

Rachael, you should be ashamed at yourself for making such an idiotic post. Shame on you for assuming you know anything about me! I'm sure if you think long and hard about that, you might be able to understand what I just said tomorrow.
