Renay/Tilly

Tilly,

First of all, thank you for the post. Much of society, who are not involved in the education system, have a difficult time understanding what typically goes on inside the classroom when it comes to children and their classwork, homework, and especially make-up work. Also, I appreciate the fact that you educated readers of this site on adminstration, and the fact that they are rarely ever in the classroom to observe what actually takes place.

Renay,

Shame on Tilly??? Shame on yourself! First of all, what gives you the right to make such outlandish remarks? You must be outside your mind! Tilly made an informative post, one that actually did not go out of it's way to offend anyone, and you take it upon yourself to completely twist her words into some absurd thought of your own. Just in case you are wondering, yes, it is true that some children lead less than desirable lives, however, not every child who misses school is being abused by some drug addict, alcoholic parent. What Tilly states is true, and you can ask anyone person you know who is an eductor and they will tell you the same thing. It exists! A large handful of students really don't care about making up work, or even doing any work at all. The best part about it, is that their parents don't care either. That's the way society is today, and unfortunately, there is not much a teacher can do when it comes to this. They obviously aren't able to physically force a child to complete their school work. All she was trying to say was, why should teachers be held responsible for these types of situations? If you don't know what she's referring to...then do your own research on "No Child Left Behind"! I can't believe someone would come on this site and make such an absurd respones to someone's post. You are ignorant on this topic, and obviously confused on the information Tilly was trying to convey. Something tells me that you are one of those parents who always make excuses for your child, and blames everyone but yourself and your child for their faults. I'm quite sure if Tilly is a teacher in the state of Pennsylvania, she's probably pretty good at what she does. You know nothing about her skills as a teacher, or about the manner in which she runs her classroom! You should be "ashamed" of yourself for making such an idiotic post.
