Helen and F. Willis Byers

F. Willis and Helen Byers of West Sunbury will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 at Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, Concord Township.

The former Helen Kalinowski-Double married Byers Nov. 9, 1957, at West Sunbury Presbyterian Church in West Sunbury.

They have six children, Robert Double of Jackson Center; Joel Byers of Grand Prairie, Texas; Timothy Byers of West Sunbury; Sandra Kelly and Debra Gould, both of Butler; and Linda Bell of Prospect.

They also have nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Byers is a retired truck owner and driver. He belongs to VFW Post 6231 and American Legion Post 243.

Mrs. Byers is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Springdale Lutheran Church.
