Phelomena C. 'Minnie' Ross
Phelomena C. "Minnie" Ross, 88, of Forestville died at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Grove Manor in Grove City.
Born in Forestville, Oct. 27, 1918, she was a daughter of James and Angalena "Julia" Delacala Ross.
She had lived in Cleveland, Ohio, from 1939 to 1977 and retired from AT&T in Cleveland in 1977.
She was a member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Forestville.
Miss Ross was a talented artist and received various awards for her art in the Cleveland area. She also was an avid crocheter, loved flowers and enjoyed cooking for her extended family.
Surviving are three sisters, Carmella Kelly of Forestville, Lucy Rossi and her husband, Albert, of Meadville and Grace Sawczysyn of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Leo Ross and his wife, Anilda, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Michael Ross and his wife, Donna, of Slippery Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
<B>ROSS </B>— Friends of Phelomena C. "Minnie Ross, who died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today at <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Forestville, with the Rev. Matthew McClain of St. Peter Parish, officiating.
