Maridon Museum hosts children’s fest
BUTLER — Shichi-Go-San, a festival for children who are 3, 5 or 7 years old will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 10 at the Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St.
The festival in Japan is a day of prayer for the healthy growth and happiness of children. Dixie Lipnichan and Patty Davis will present an interactive presentation. There also will be a hands-on exploration of holiday symbols and clothing items and three volunteer children will dress in kimono.
The children will also learn a word of Japanese and be guided through a craft. All will receive a treat bag to take home.
