Maine & oral contraceptives

ameshaa@aol.com

Lisa Weisenstein fails to comprehend what the regulation in Maine with respect to oral contraceptive availability actually says. If parents do not allow a student access to the clinic, there is no way they will get birth control pills. It is only those parents who consent to allow their children access to the clinic. These parents are informed of the services available at the clinic and by granting their permission are explicitly allowing the children to have access to birth control pills (if prescribed).
