Imogene D. Miller, 96, of Grove Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Slippery Rock, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Born July 14, 1910, in Mosgrove, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Frank Lucius and Edna Vivian Fuller Ditty.

She was a retired nurse. She trained at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh and graduated in 1931. She worked at Kittanning Hospital for a number of years until she moved to Slippery Rock in 1953. She then worked part-time at Grove City Hospital in 1959 and into the 1960s.

She was also a homemaker.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Grove City.

She maintained an avid interest in counted cross stitch. She was a member of the Kittanning Chapter 277 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Jean and her husband, John Harris Wilver of Apollo; two granddaughters, Debbie Cotier and Laurie Anne Meier; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda James and Nicole.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Orville Miller, whom she married March 5, 1932, and who died Jan. 17, 1971. He was also preceded by a brother, Everett Ditty, and a sister, Marian Hotchkiss.

<B>MILLER</B>— Funeral services for Imogene D. Miller, who died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, will be at noon Monday at <B>Smith Funeral HOme</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. The Rev. James Seeley, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Grove City, will officiate.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the noon service Monday at the funeral home.
