Craig G. Saul Jr.
Craig Greydon Saul Jr., 74, of Butler died at 10:30 p.m. Wed-nesday at his home with his family by his side.
Born March 15, 1933, in Butler County, he was the oldest son of Craig Greydon Saul Sr. and Ruth Thompson Saul.
He was a 1951 of graduate of Butler High School and co-owned and operated the Eagal Coal Co. for 30 years until his retirement.
Mr. Saul was a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church and also he belonged to the Unionville Grange 1971.
He was a member of the Butler Masonic Lodge 272, the Syria Shrine, Butler Chapter 273, the New Castle Consistory, Butler Council 61, the Lorraine Commandery 87, the Knights Templar 283, the Red Cross of Constantine of Erie, the Knights of the York 19831, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon 180, a life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and a Counselor of DeMolay.
He enjoyed being with his family, animals and working on his farm.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Alice A. Saul; four sons, Craig G. Saul III "Ace" and his wife, Kim, Robert R. Saul and his wife, Bonnie, John V. Saul and his wife, Tracey, and William R. Saul and his wife, Diana, all of Butler; seven grandsons and two granddaughters.
He also is survived by four brothers, David Saul of Florida, Raymond Saul of Butler, Richard Saul of California and Ronald Saul of West Virginia; three sisters, Mrs. William (Mary) Brandon of Franklin, Mrs. Ernest (Jean) Baxter of Butler; and Mrs. Daniel (Joan) Shomer of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter; and a brother, William "Bill" Saul.
<B>SAUL</B> — Friends of Craig Greydon Saul Jr., who died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Edward L Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev.
