Frank C. Palermo, 85, of Kittanning died Tuesday at the Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning.

Born Oct. 12, 1921, in Mosgrove, Armstrong County, he was the son of Guieseppi R. and Katherine M. Costanzo Palermo.

He was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Kittanning, where he was active in church activities, especially bingo. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 1011, where he was a former grand knight. He also was a former member of the Kittanning Lions Club.

Mr. Palermo was a lifetime resident of Armstrong County and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1941. He worked as a supervisor for Adams Steel Erection for 30 years before retiring in 1983.

He was a Seabee in the Navy during World War II.

He is survived by three sons, Frank C. Palermo Jr. and his wife, Gerrie, of Butler, Joseph A. Palermo of Kittanning and Michael V. Palermo and his wife, Kathy, of Ford City; two sisters, Angie Davis of Pleasant Hills and Lena Pitner of Sugar Grove; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Ellen and Allison Palermo, Michael and Josh Palermo, Amy Dixon and her husband, David, and Stacey Bartholic and her husband, Jeff; a stepgranddaughter, Shaina Rupert; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jonah Bartholic.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, James and Wilbert Palermo; and a stepgrandson, Scott Rupert.

<B>PALERMO</B> — Friends of Frank C. Palermo, who died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services</B>, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, where a parish wake service will be held at 2 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with the Rev. Emil Payer officiating. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, P.O.
