Goldie H. Taggart
Goldie Helen Taggart, 94, of Slippery Rock Township, formerly of Worth Township, died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday at Slippery Rock Personal Care Home.
Born in Worth Township, Feb. 5, 1913, she was the daughter of Joseph and Nettie Shields Taggart.
She was a lifelong member of the Wolf Creek Presbyterian Church, Worth Township.
Miss Taggart was employed at Slippery Rock University for 31½ years and had worked in the library and other areas of the university.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cats, traveling and shopping.
Surviving are a sister, Dorothy McCandless of Slippery Rock; two nieces and their spouses, Barbara E. Trauterman and Joseph J. Vivelo of Butler and Judy A. and David Barnes of Slippery Rock; a nephew, Donald L. McCandless of Grove City; a great-niece, Lisa; three great-nephews, Dan, Joey and Gregg; two great-great- nieces, Alicia and Samantha; and four great-great-nephews, Eric, Kyle, Cory and Derek.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Taggart, and two brothers, Charles and Dale Taggart.
<B>TAGGART</B> — Friends of Goldie Helen Taggart, who died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
